QSL'ing - definitely one of the best parts of the hobby!
QSLs and QSL'ing have always been a fun part of the hobby for G3TXF:

1. sorting and filing cards for G3TXF's own collection (estimated at over 60,000 QSLs)

2. sending out cards following a CW DX-Trip. Over 94,000 CW DX-Trip QSLs have been sent in the past few years. Including cards for other operations the total number of cards sent out is over 131,000. See the table....

Roger G3SXW and Wayne N7NG inspect G3TXF's QSL collection (Nov 03).

QSLs are stored in four multi-drawer filing cabinets.

All G3TXF QSLs are stored by 'country'.

QSLs from DX-Trips are stored by DX-Trip callsign.

Additional filing cabinets will be added as the QSL collection expands.

Outgoing QSLs for the world's Bureaux are usually sent as individual parcels for each Bureau, rather than using the UK's national QSL Bureau for outgoing overseas cards.

This probably speeds up delivery by up to one year.

The photo shows the 48 packages of QSLs which were mailed out to different QSLs in November 2003.

Sets of packages such as these are usually mailed out once every month or so. The Nov 03 packages contained some 4,500 QSLs in total.

Outgoing QSL packages are all sent by Airmail, but as "Printed Matter" in order to reduce postage costs.
